CAS Experiences

I have continued the Tierheim experience as a part of my CAS service activity. I continued cleaning cages and felt that I was participating in provision of service in my local community.

The objective I wanted to achieve through the workout session was increasing my strength and improve my overall health through different workouts. Every workout session I started with a 5 to 10 minutes of warming up to prevent any injury and worked on developing my muscular strengths using the gym facilities. Since I am not a physically strong individual I found heavy weights challenging and at the beginning near impossible. Therefore, I started with lighter weights and am in the course of gradually increasing weights to increase muscular strength.

The objective of the Tierheim experience was to help in a local animal shelter, as I was interested in animal shelters and street animals. I helped out cleaning the cages of the animal shelter and the experience was very meaningful personally.

I have started Kick Boxing in order improve my general fitness, as I felt that I was declining in health overtime, because I was not active enough in the past few months. During Kick Boxing training session, I did a lot of basic fitness trainings, such as core work out, shoulder work out on top of different techniques of kick boxing.

During the Lunch lessons on B, E and H days, we are practicing towards the Winter Band Concert taking place on the 7th of February, 2018. Arsenal is a mid tempo concert march. Superman Returns is a compilation of OSTs from the Superman movie series. Suddenly is a slow tempo piece from the movie Les Miserables. Symphony no. 40 in G Minor is one of the three classical pieces that we play in the band. It is a piece by the famous Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Slavonic Dance is another classical piece that we play. This is a fast tempo song. Poet and Peasant Overture is the last classical piece that we play in the band. It starts up slow, but builds up to a fast tempo. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is another compilation piece of OSTs from the popular fantasy movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
